I want to take a moment to give a huge shout-out to the incredible staff and crews of our Department of Public Works. Over the past few weeks, they’ve been hard at work on our city streets, accomplishing an amazing amount.

PATIENCE PAYS OFF DURING ROADWORK SEASON

Yes, a few of us may have grumbled about travel delays, but what they’ve achieved is nothing short of impressive, and they’re still at it. Coordinating all the crews, equipment, and materials to get the right work done at the right time takes meticulous planning. That’s why so many streets may be blocked at once: it’s far more efficient than doing everything piecemeal, and it helps save money for everyone involved.

So, when you see them out there, maybe slow down your drive, give them a wave, a thumbs up, or even a friendly honk. They’re doing a fantastic job for our city!
